Estate Concordia Eco Tents and Studios

Estate Concordia Eco Tents and Studios consist of tent/cottages and studio units that provide comfort, while still protecting the delicate eco system, very similar to Maho Bay Campground. They are located on the southeastern side of St John, near Salt Pond Bay and about 25 minutes from the campgrounds.

Estate Concordia is the “sister resort” of Maho Bay Campgrounds and again was the idea of Stanley Selengut, a New York developer. His idea was to provide the visitors of St John with an opportunity to have an affordable vacation in an exquisite place, but also one that would be earth friendly.

The eco system of St John needed to be protected but still enjoyed. Could these 2 ideas work together? YES! And they have for many, many years.

"Many great ideas were implemented in its design. Pipes and electric cable were hidden under wooden walkways, while the walkways were made to preserve the ground cover. Low flush toilets, special faucets and showers were designed with the idea of lowering water consumption. Re-cycled materials and wind and solar power is used, and all of this has helped the resort earn many awards from the eco-tourism community."

Located hillside with fabulous views and overlooking Salt Pond Bay are the Concordia Eco Tents and Studios. The eco tents have wooden frames, screens, and roll up or down sheeting for privacy and protection. The location of the units will give you the most wonderful breezes and the most spectacular scenery! It’s kind of like upscale camping!

The Studio units, larger than the Concordia eco tents, have much greater creature comforts. Again, these units are hillside with outstanding views of Salt Pond Bay and sounds of crashing ocean waves.

Some of these units are large enough for 6 people and provide 2 bathrooms. They also have enormous decks!

"Please keep in mind that there are lots of stairs here. A rental car is definitely needed if you’re the exploring type and don’t want to just be! This resort is very secluded. The nearest town is 10 minutes away and that would be Coral Bay. Also, there are many cats that live around the units."
